Exploring the Economic Index used to mean finding and reading the published reports and datasets yourself. With the connector enabled, you can ask questions like “Which occupations use AI the most?” or “What are the most common ways people in Colorado use Claude?” and get answers in the conversation.

Nothing to install, connect it in settings
There’s no software to install, but you do connect it once: open the connectors menu in claude.ai settings, find the Anthropic Economic Index in the directory, and enable it. After that it works in any conversation with any Claude model.
