Claude Cowork is where you delegate Claude a task, and it works across your connected files, calendar, email, and other tools until the job is done. Until now it was limited to the desktop app; this announcement brings it to mobile and web, so your sessions and files go where you go, on any device.

Sessions and files that go where you go
Picking up a desktop task on the move, or getting to a finished output from another device, wasn’t possible. Now sessions and files follow you across devices — start on desktop, check progress on mobile, and reach outputs anywhere. Start from the claude.ai home screen on web, or the Claude app sidebar on mobile.

Work continues in the background
Tasks used to need a device kept online to keep going. Now you can close the laptop and head to your meeting while Claude keeps going, and scheduled tasks run with no device online.

Approvals reach your phone
When a call only you can make came up mid-task, the flow stalled if you weren’t at your desk. Now when Claude reaches such a point, the question reaches your phone, so you can decide and keep the work moving from anywhere.

Chat and Cowork share one home
Chat and Cowork were separate, leaving projects and artifacts scattered. On web and desktop, chat and Cowork now share one home, and your projects and artifacts live together across both.

- Gradual rollout — beta access rolls out over the next several weeks, starting with Max users, with more plans to follow.
- Where it runs — web (claude.ai), mobile (iOS and Android), and the desktop app, which keeps the full experience.
- Higher usage limits — doubled Cowork usage limits are extended through August 5, 2026.
