Overview

Claude for Teachers gives verified K-12 educators in the US free access to Claude. Educators get teaching skills for lesson planning and differentiation, a Learning Commons of academic standards across all 50 states, and connectors to nine educational platforms.

Key features

  • Teaching skills for educators

Building lesson plans from a curriculum, or differentiating materials for learners at different levels, meant starting from scratch each time. Claude for Teachers provides skills for lesson planning from curricula and differentiation for learners at different levels to help with this recurring work.

  • Learning Commons integration

Standards vary state by state and were tedious to track down and match. The Learning Commons gives access to academic standards across all 50 states, along with smaller learning competencies and learning progressions, so materials can be aligned to your state’s standards.

  • Connectors to educational platforms

Educators had to move between their existing tools and Claude to carry work across. Now you can connect Claude to nine platforms: ASSISTments, Brisk Teaching, Canva Education, Coteach, Diffit, Eedi, MagicSchool, Snorkl, and TeachFX.

  • Handling repeated tasks

Analyzing class data and preparing recurring work took a lot of manual effort. You can delegate tasks like class data analysis and scheduling repeated tasks to Claude.

  • K-12 privacy protections

Protecting student information is essential in the classroom. Claude for Teachers data is not used for model training, and student information is protected by a K-12 Data Processing Addendum written to comply with FERPA.
