Claude Design now stays on brand for daily work

Claude Design now imports your design system — from GitHub repos, design files, or raw uploads — so Claude builds with your components and validates against your system. New /design-sync and /design commands connect it to Claude Code, the editor gains rich layout controls and hundreds of stability fixes, usage limits are now shared with chat, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code, and connectors expand to Adobe, Base44, Canva, Gamma, Lovable, Miro, Replit, Vercel, and Wix.

Overview

Claude Design now imports your design system and builds with your components instead of working from screenshots or improvised pieces. It adds /design-sync to pull design systems into Claude Code and a /design terminal command, along with a more stable editor, shared usage limits, and expanded connectors.

Key features

  • Design system import

Claude couldn’t see your team’s design system, so work drifted toward screenshots and one-off components. Claude Design was rebuilt to import design systems from GitHub repos, design files, or raw uploads — Claude builds with your components and validates against your system, with a new admin role to lock it down for the team.

  • /design-sync — pull design systems into Claude Code

Building in Claude Code worked from screenshots, which made reusing existing components hard. /design-sync pulls your design system into Claude Code so builds start from existing components instead of screenshots.

  • /design — work on design projects from the terminal

Working on a design project meant leaving the terminal. The /design command lets you create, edit, and sync design projects from Claude Code without leaving the terminal — import designs into codebases or turn code into live prototypes.

  • Enhanced editor and canvas

Element control in the editor was coarse and hard to fine-tune. You now get direct, fine-grained control with new rich layout controls for dragging, resizing, and alignment, plus hundreds of stability fixes that improve reliability.

  • Shared usage limits

Claude Design ran on its own usage limits, so it hit caps and errors sooner. It now shares limits with chat, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code, giving more headroom and reducing error rates.

  • Connector integrations

Moving finished work into other tools was clunky. This update adds connectors for Adobe, Base44, Canva, Gamma, Lovable, Miro, Replit, Vercel, and Wix, with PDF and PowerPoint export also available.
